I'm trying to be healthier. I really am. I've almost completely put an end to the over gluttonous pasta nights...almost. They are now down to once a week instead of three. I'm not trying to make excuses but my significant other only likes beige colored foods. Sometimes I cry about it. All will change starting today. I bought a cucumber and I'm going to eat it.

There is no real reason for this blog post but I did want to share with you the extreme weather we call totally normal here in Colorado. This was exactly seven days ago...

Winter-effing-wonderland. We snowshoed through the fresh powder and it was just a dream. It reminded me that I still am a ski virgin. A few years ago I made a goal that I would ski, three years later it still hasn't happened. Honestly, I don't even want to anymore. My fear of sudden avalanche death is heightening the older I get. I'm a dog mom now, I can't be too risky. What would Louie do without me? Anyways, a week later it looks like this...

Spring? Are you here already!? It was the most sensual weather this weekend. It's awful to think that it is only February 7th and winter is still in full force through April. I don't know if I can make it.

Isn't this a beautiful place? Rocky Mountain National Park just celebrated it's 100th birthday this past week so I went up before sunrise to see the alpen glow. This place has a special spot in my heart. Sean and I went on our first date here and since then we have explored the park little by little, hopefully to cover every trail and peak there is to climb. I feel incredibly lucky to live so near. Thank you EARTH for such a wonderful gift.

First off. ALL OF MY PLANTS ARE DEAD. (I left you last time with the notion that they were doing well, I'm sorry)

Second. Right as I was thinking of the second thing to say, I spilled my whole cup of tea on my leg. It is very hot. But I will not clean it up right away because I'm too annoyed to confront this just yet.

Over the Holiday break I was able to visit my precious family for a week and it was wonderful. I really miss them. I also got to see some friends but mostly I stayed home listening to my little sister's absurd stories and tried to keep my parent's dog from eating Louie and Louie from constantly humping her...

Now that it is 2015 I really only have one goal that I want to keep this year. Last year, I made a charming little list (that I did not accomplish) but this year my goal is to be more POSITIVE. I did too complaining last year and it is not good. This year is going to be full of smiles and rainbows.

Life quote: number one

"Never take life too seriously."
Oh hey.

It's been quite a while! Here are a few updates since the last time we spoke...
-I work now.
-It is OCTOBER! My favorite month ever. I'm sure you already knew this.
-I'm totally composting, like a cool person.
-I broke my New Year promise of reading a Novel a month in August. Mercy for the weak.
-The pepper plant is still alive! (side note: all my plants are alive! Miracles do happen!)
and most important of all...
-WE GOT A DOG. a real one.

Remember when I told you I would move to Colorado and do all these special things. Well dog was the last thing on my list and it has been done my friends. and he's pretty much the craziest thing I have ever seen. Aren't dogs supposed to be somewhat trained by nature? I'm confused. This dog is insane. "This dog", his name is Lewis. But around these parts we call him Louie. and if you must know I named him after the great american explorer, Meriwether Lewis. There is no real significance to this.

I've found a job! (Yay!-anxiety kind of over!) But it doesn't start for a while, so I've been spending a lot of my time at home. This new place, is by far the homeliest home I have lived in. The reason is most likely the carpet.

Anyway, I love this place. Every square inch. It's also open to the public, so please, come in and say hello!

I recently returned from what was probably my last little vacation for the summer. (NOOOO~!) How the eff is it already August?! I can't believe that we have been living in CO for two months already.

And now, let me present to you: Pictures of my visit to Spokane, WA.

Let's finish up this roll of pictures with beautiful roses of the most western area of the pacific northwest...

Ah. Wasn't that just nice? The pictures make it seem like we were just innocently picking cherries, praying at evangelical churches and what not, but I assure you it was much more exciting than that! We got lost, 170 degrees, splash pad, mario kart. It was action packed.

What a beautiful area! How was your visit Wight/mans?? I'm still boggled by the fact that of all the places to be in this world, we were in the same area and within a day of each other!!

I miss you guys! Christopher V. and Miyuki! Come on down for a visit, Ya' hear!
